NO ONE LIKES A DIRTY POOL

So where are the flying cars? Big reveal — we were never going to get the Jetsons’ flying family sedan but what we do get is a way to keep our swimming pool clean without having to break our backs doing all the hard work by hand. And with a robot — how cool is that? Specifically the iGARDEN POOL CLEANER M1-90 AI. Which may be a mouthful to say but considering what it does makes it worth saying “I want that for my pool.”

DIRTY POOL NO MORE

The iGARDEN POOL CLEANER M1-90 AI has a very cool look – almost a red Ferrari look (to us anyway) because it’s not shaped like one of those little Roomba’s but more like one of those flying car prototypes without wings — it’s designed to move about with an almost calm and defiant air. C’mon just look at this thing and tell us you’re not impressed by the styling supporting mechanical and electronic tech.

There are front touch controls but no surprise that you can connect to a supported app on your smartphone — this enables more data to be had as to what is occurring. So there’s stuff like speed of operation and timers, etc.

Construction wise, this really, really, waterproof robot has a large filter basket for keeping in all the gunk collected until time to pull it out of the pool (it can “know” to return to where you deposited it in the water and removal is made easier due to the included hook (but at 25.5 lbs those of use a bit older than young should consider a back brace to avoid dislocations). The basket pulls right out and, once cleaned out, goes back in with a click that holds it in place. FYI – 22000 LPH suction and dual filtration means this robot can take out a lot of stuff that wants to “live” in your pool, especially on the bottom.

Now one of the more sensible and worthwhile bits as far as the construction goes is how the robot has a dual grip through equiping this robot with strong treads over wheels. So like an Abrams tank, it provides a smooth and ongoing steady motion regardless of the area its covering, be that on the floor or wall. The way it moves allows for irregular pool design to be cleaned without incident. That’s unlike a lot of pools that expect a pretty standard pool.

A SMART POOL CLEANING ROBOT

One of the things that keeps people from working with a robotic cleaning robot is getting it setup without causing one’s head to explode. Fortunately iGarden doesn’t need one to down aspirins because the quick start guide that first stares at you when opening the box holds your hand to get things going in the right direction. Patience and moving ahead steady will take care of what’s needed well within a hour (YMMV).

Now considering that this robot is a “smart” pool cleaner, the battery has to provide power for the electronics, A.I., WiFi (2.4GHz only) and Bluetooth along with the obvious movements bringing the vacuum suction over the debre/detriment being sucked up. So that it has a good sized battery that can handle all these chores and lie at the bottom of the pool waiting to go again means it isn’t necessary to charge it after each cleaning (which does have to be on dry land and make sure the charging port is sealed snugly once done). Definitely getting 10 or more cleaning sessions between charges is no issue at all (YMMV of course). Say thanks to a 9 hour battery life through 12,500 mAh. We actually preferred the “quick clean” not just because it uses less power, but also because it was fun to watch and pretty much deals with the cleaning issues ongoing (being mostly debre on the pool floor) in a shorter period of time.

The battery is also responsible for powering the A.I which gloms onto the dual-camera system for 3D mapping of the pool and automating the route the robot is going to take — a real 3D mapping of the pool is what happens. And for those who want to believe in extreme tech, no the app can’t do a thing when the robot isn’t on dry land.

With 3 drive motors, 2 rubber brushes, 2 rubber tracks, an anti-corrosive coating and forever OTA updates, calling the iGARDEN POOL CLEANER M1-90 AI the supercar of robotic pool cleaners is pretty much accurate. Now if iGarden only made a landscaping robot we could all sit back and relax. For more details go to https://store.igarden.ai/products/igarden-pool-cleaner-m1-ai-series?variant=42882910584895
