These are the tools you need

You lead an active life and expect your heart, phone and car to do the same — they’re all expected to follow your lead because you have the right tools to handle them. So let’s get to those tools, specifically Scosche’s Rhythm+ 2.0 Armband Heart Rate Monitor for your heart, the FoundIT Charge for your car and the MagicMount Flask for both your thirst and phone.

Rhythm+ 2.0 Armband Heart Monitor

Doesn’t matter whether you think you’ve a good heart or not — keeping track of those beats is pretty important. The Rhythm+ 2.0 Armband Heart Rate Monitor wraps non-invasively on the forearm (meaning no puncture marks) and uses optical tech to measure blood flow and body movement (same as what those chest straps do). Obviously syncs up with your phone using Bluetooth or ANT+ for up to 100 feet away while its rechargeable battery keeps ticking for up to 24 hours Armband Heart Rate Monitor.

You want some technical jazz, here goes: HRV mode captures RR interval data for subtle heartbeat variations it says. And even more stuff to blow your mind (not your heart) and give you ways to go about doing it. Sweat all you want because it’s waterproof too.

So why use it when there’s similar features built into smartwatches? For one thing, not everybody has a smartwatch. But the biggest reason to use it is because it concentrates on doing what it’s designed for and so this dedication makes itself known every time it’s consciously put on. Which means it doesn’t get forgotten. More details can be had at https://www.scosche.com/

FoundIT Charge

So most people nowadays look at that wide mouthed round socket in their car and never knew that it was once a cigarette lighter. But that socket now accepts (and expects) a USB adapter that lets you plug in for charging a phone. ‘Course that’s pretty boring, so the FOUNDIT Charge goes extra fast like the Flash to do more. First off it’s got two USB ports — that’s still kind of conventional right? But the kinda svelte dual-port 12Volt (because it’s to be used in a car) also has tech inside. Specifically Find My tech usable with either Apple or Android phones. That means you can call up to find your car when that overly large parking lot got you searching (don’t ask how many we could have used this when our small sports car “disappeared” between a pair of those dang big SUVs).

But “hey,” you say, “there’s no power going to the car when it’s parked and the motor’s off. So how’s it going to do anything.” “The answer,” we reply, “is calm down because the FoundIT Charge has an internal rechargeable battery to keep it going. And finally, before you ask, for sure the location data is of course encrypted so nobody outside of yourself (or those you want to share it with) are going to see anything. MagicMount Flask

22 or 32 ounces gets you an insulated water bottle — that might not sound like much of a change of pace but listen here: the mount has powerful Neodymium magnets working that will grip an iPhone (#12 or greater or use the included MagicRing adapter for any phone). Which means? Which means that bottle now becomes a stand rocking angles holding the phone to free your hands, be it landscape or portrait mode you prefer at the time. No it won’t charge your phone — having water and electricity don’t mix well — but it will keep that water/whatever liquid hot for up to 12 hours or 24 hours if cold as ice (song, check the 80’s). Back to Earth means that wide mouth cap is also compatible with many brand name wide mouth water bottles, so that’s good too.
